Be Part of Something Special in Whitianga!
We’re thrilled to be launching a brand-new Support Group in Whitianga for people who are blind or have low vision. We’ve found an amazing volunteer to lead the group, but even superheroes need a sidekick!

We’re looking for a friendly, community-minded volunteer to help out—someone who’s happy to lend a hand, bring a little fun, and be part of something truly meaningful.

What’s involved?

  • Helping with monthly meetups (once a month, Friday at 10AM)
  • Being a friendly face and offering support where needed
  • Drivers may be needed a little earlier to help members get there

No special skills are required—just a big heart and a willingness to get involved. Your support will help create a warm and welcoming space where people can connect and feel valued.

Requirements:

  • A reliable vehicle and a full, clean driver’s licence are required.
  • We will conduct a driver’s licence check and a police check as part of the volunteer induction process.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

  • The role will take place on a Friday from 9.30M to 12PM.
  • The frequency is currently set to monthly, but may change in the future.
