St Vincent de Paul Hamilton (Vinnies) offer a range of services for those in need. One of those services is our Community Lunches where we provide a seated hot lunch for the needy on a Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We average 25 people per sitting. The cooking of meals is overseen by Vinnies Staff and assisted by volunteers from Schools and local businesses.

We are in need of volunteers to join our team as Community Lunch Helpers.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Setting up of eating area for our lunch service.
  • Preparation and service of food and beverage to people.
  • Cleaning duties after lunch service is over.
  • Working alongside our extraordinary Vinnie’s staff and volunteers.

Requirements:

  • Basic kitchen and food service skills would be ideal, but not necessary.
  • A high level of initiative and the ability to help others and work as a team.
  • A willingness and positive attitude.
  • A desire to serve the community without judgment.

Time commitment:

  • Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 9am - 1pm
