Goldfields Railway in Waihi is looking for a practical, community-minded volunteer to help us maintain the charm and function of our railway precinct. From odd jobs to repair tasks, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, working outdoors, and making a real difference behind the scenes.
Duties may include:
- Repair and maintenance tasks as directed (e.g. weed spraying, clearing gutters, painting sheds, mending fences, pruning trees)
- General upkeep around the station precinct (e.g. litter collection, sweeping platforms, weeding gardens)
- Tasks tailored to your skills and interests
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is handy with tools or keen to learn
- Enjoys working outdoors and getting stuck in
- Is reliable, practical, and works well independently or in a small team
- Has good physical fitness for light-to-moderate manual work
