Research Project for Former Refugee Youth
The ROC Trust is forming a volunteer research team to support an upcoming community-focused project centred on former refugee youth. This project will explore the needs, challenges, and strengths of young people from refugee backgrounds, with the goal of informing more inclusive and supportive opportunities.
Volunteers will work together in a collaborative and supportive environment, taking on roles such as:
- Leadership & coordination – Guiding the research process and supporting team members.
- Field research & community engagement – Connecting with former refugee youth and gathering insights.
- Data analysis & ethics – Interpreting information responsibly and ensuring cultural sensitivity and confidentiality.
- Communications – Helping share findings in clear and accessible ways.
This is an excellent opportunity to:
- Gain hands-on research experience.
- Develop practical skills in leadership, engagement, and analysis.
- Contribute to a project that amplifies the voices of former refugee youth and makes a positive impact in the community.
